Some Vocabulary that i have learnt

Vocabulary:
1.imperative-very important and needing immediate attention or action(adj)迫切的
 It is absolutely imperative that we finish by next week.
 It is imperative for your recovery to continue the treatment for at least two months.
2.spirited-full of energy, determination or courage(adj)坚定的
 She put up a spirited defence in the final game.
3.engaging-to succeed in attracting and keeping sb's attention and interest(v)吸引住
 It is a movie that engages both the mind and the eye.
 He is currently engaged as a consultant.
4.exhilaration-to make sb feel very happy and excited(n)使激动
 Speed had always exhilarated him.
 I felt exhilarated after a morning f skiing.
5.enclosures-a place of land that is surrounded by a force or wall and is used for a particular purpose(n)围场
 The enclosure of Norland Common, now carrying on, is a most serious drain.

6.scrutinizing-to look or examine sth carefully(v)认真检查
 She learned forward to scrutinize their faces.
 The statement was carefully scrutinized before publication.
7.texture-the was a surface, substance or fabric fells when you touch it(n)手感
 She uses a variety of different colours, shapes and textures in her wall hangings.
 The two cheeses were very different in both taste and texture.
8.crucial-extremely important(adj)事关重要
 Winning this contract is crucial to the success of the company.
 The next few weeks are going to be crucial.
9.dyslexic-a slight disorder or the brain that cause difficulty in reading and spelling(n)朗读困难
 He's dyslexic.

10.burden-a duty, responsibility that cause worry, difficulty(v)负担
 The main burden of caring for old people falls on the state.
 I don't want to become a burden to my children when i'm old.
11.fidgety-unable to remain still or queit(adj)坐立不安
 The children get fidgety if they have nothing to do.
12.imparting-to pass information, knowledge to ohter people(v)传授
 The spice imparts an Eastern flavour to the dish.
13.unruly-difficult to control or manage(adj)难以控制
 Rogan is a tall, shambling guy with unruly sandy hair.
 They are often unruly, but if they want to become an efficient fighting force.
14.counsel-advice, especially given by older people or experts(n)忠告
 Listen to the counsel of your elders.
 in the end, wiser counsel prevailed.
15.implore-to ask ab to do sth in an anxious way because you want or need it very much(v)恳求
 She implored him to stay.
 She gave him an imploring look.
